Three principles should be followed for the hot-pressing parameters of resin-bonded diamond abrasive tools.
1. Hot pressing pressure, because the resin binder in the binder is in a molten state at a certain temperature, has good fluidity and is easy to fill all parts of the mold cavity, so the hot-pressing pressure is not high, generally 30-60MPa.
2. The hot pressing temperature is generally 185 degrees Celsius for phenolic resins and 235 degrees Celsius for polyimide resins. Newly developed products generally have temperature instructions. If the temperature is too high, the hardening speed is too fast, it is easy to cause molding difficulties, the bonding between the matrix and the binder is poor, and sometimes even cracks occur in the abrasive tool. The temperature is too low, the pressing time is prolonged, and the production efficiency is low.
3. Hot pressing time, hot pressing time is related to the size, shape, thickness of the abrasive tool, mold structure and heating method and other factors.
