In the mining and sawing operations in the mine, when the cutting surface enters the final stage, the old wire saw must be used to replace the wire saw in use .This is because in the final stage of cutting, especially the final stage of horizontal cutting, the connection area between the ore body and the separated body is relatively small, and only the steel wedge inserted between the horizontal plane is not enough to support the separation body, so it is difficult to ensure that the separation body will not collapse, leading to the accident of the beaded rope being pressed in the saw joint and scrapped. Especially for ore bodies with relatively developed fissures, local rock collapse in the separated bodies often occurs. Even if it is vertical cutting or block trimming cutting, the wire saw may be crushed in the saw gap and scrapped due to the side slip and dumping of the separated body. If a new wire saw or a wire saw with a certain service life is used to saw the last connection surface, encountering such an accident, the whole or most of the wire saw will be scrapped and unnecessary economic losses will be caused.
According to different situations, the timing of replacement is generally during horizontal sawing. When the distance between the wire saw entering and exiting the saw slit is reduced to 1.5-2.5 meters, replace the wire saw in use with an old wire rope that is nearly scrapped, and continue the separation and cutting of the final connecting surface of the ore body and the separated body. The final stage of cutting vertical planes or disintegrating and trimming cutting also requires this kind of operation of replacing old ropes with new ones. If the position of the guide wheel is installed properly, the old wire rope can even cut through the slit directly without leaving any connecting part, so that the cut surface is flat, and it is avoided that when the final connecting part is separated, one side will be dented and the other side will be raised, which will affect the formation of the block.
