Plastic Cutting Wire is actually a kind of wire saw structure developed for cutting hard stones, usually use hot-pressed sintered beads, and use special polyurethane plastic with high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance as the bead support. The beads are fixed to the steel wire rope by hot-press injection way. This is a sealed bead structure, the gap between the bead and the wire rope is completely filled with polyurethane plastic to prevent the debris during cutting the stone, can be used for cutting hard stone such as granite. However, the plastic wire saw also has defects. Such as its poor low temperature characteristic. When use in cold area, the injection layer becomes rigid, which increases the internal stress of the steel wire rope during cutting, and the probability of short ropes also increases. In addition, plastic wire rope has higher requirements for the supply of cooling water, a short water shortage or insufficient cooling water supply may cause the injection layer to soften or even melt, making the wire saw scrapped.
