Description

Marble Frankfurt is used on automatic polishing line for surface calibrating and grinding of marbles. The most used metal bond is the bronze bond, which is characterized by high bond strength, good wear resistance, can withstand large loads and has good thermal conductivity. Mainly used for the processing of non-metallic brittle materials, such as ceramics, glass, stone, concrete and precious stones, semiconductor materials, etc., suitable for rough grinding, semi-finishing, forming grinding and cutting, edging, etc. The disadvantage of this bond is that it has poor self-sharpening, and the grinding efficiency is not as good as that of the resin bond. The improper application will cause heat and blockage, and it is difficult to dress. The metal binder is a generalized binder. In addition to bronze, there are cemented carbide binders with tungsten carbide as the skeleton, iron matrix binders based on iron and nickel, etc., which are suitable for different processing purposes.

Marble Frankfurt Diamond Abrasive – Precision Grinding & Surface Preparation Tool

The Marble Frankfurt Diamond Abrasive from Toolwits is a professional diamond grinding tool designed for high-efficiency marble slab leveling, surface calibration, defect removal, and pre-polishing preparation. Frankfurt abrasives are widely used in automatic polishing lines, radial arm polishers, bridge polishing machines, and single-head grinding machines for consistent and high-quality marble surface finishing.

These abrasives are engineered to deliver smooth, even surfaces, maximize material removal efficiency, and reduce production time, making them a must-have for stone fabrication plants, countertop workshops, and marble finishing professionals.

What is a Marble Frankfurt Abrasive?

A Frankfurt diamond abrasive is a shaped grinding tool, typically mounted on rotary grinding or polishing machines, consisting of:

Industrial-grade diamond grit embedded in a bonded matrix (resin, rubber, or metal)

A conforming shape designed to match the surface curvature

Durable backing for long-term machine compatibility

It is primarily used for:

Leveling uneven marble surfaces

Removing saw marks or surface defects

Honing marble slabs before final polishing

Preparing surfaces for coatings, sealants, or resin treatments

Key Features & Benefits

1. Industrial-Grade Diamond Grit

Premium synthetic diamonds ensure fast material removal, high hardness, and long-lasting performance, even on hard marble and natural stones.

2. Optimized Bond Formulas

Toolwits Frankfurt abrasives use specialized resin, rubber, or hybrid bonds, designed to adapt to different marble hardness and polishing stages. This ensures consistent grinding performance, improved surface flatness, and longer tool life.

3. Smooth & Uniform Grinding

The precise distribution of diamonds in the segment reduces vibration, ensures consistent abrasion across the surface, and improves the final polish result.

4. Versatile Application

Toolwits abrasives are compatible with wet or dry grinding methods and can be installed on a variety of machines including automatic polishing lines, radial arm polishers, bridge machines, and single-head grinders.

5. Long Service Life

Engineered for high heat resistance and durability, these abrasives reduce replacement frequency and lower overall production costs.

Typical Applications

Toolwits Marble Frankfurt abrasives are ideal for:

Marble slab calibration and surface leveling

Pre-polishing surface preparation for marble, travertine, and limestone

Removal of surface defects, scratches, or saw marks

Honed finishes for countertops, tiles, and architectural stone panels

Preparing surfaces before resin treatment or sealant application

Large-scale fabrication plants and stone processing workshops

Recommended Working Method

Install Frankfurt Abrasive on a compatible machine (floor grinder, polishing line, radial arm polisher)

Start with a coarse grit (e.g., 24#–60#) to remove unevenness or heavy surface defects

Move to medium grits (80#–180#) to smooth the surface

Finish with fine grits (240#–400#) before polishing

Use wet grinding to reduce dust, control heat, and extend tool life

Technical Options (Customizable)

Grit Size: Coarse (24#–60#), Medium (80#–180#), Fine (240#–400#)

Bond Type: Resin, rubber, hybrid, or metallic

Shape & Size: Custom shapes to fit machine types and stone profiles

Application: Wet or dry grinding

Advantages Over Traditional Abrasives

Higher Efficiency: Diamond abrasives remove material faster than silicon carbide or magnesite stones

Even Surface Texture: Prepares marble surfaces for consistent polish results

Durability: Longer life reduces cost per square meter of marble processed

Wide Compatibility: Works on multiple machine types for flexible workflow

Consistent Quality: Maintains surface flatness and prevents uneven polishing
