The quality of the segment can be preliminarily checked from the hardness, size, density and weight. Hardness is one of the indicators reflecting the comprehensive factors of the quality of the cutter head. It explains the metal powder quality, formula, process and other aspects in the production process of the segment. Under the conditions determined by the formula and sintering process, the hardness should be within a certain range. Below or above this range, the quality of the cutter head is not good. The hardness is too low, indicating that the quality of the metal binder is not good. In general, when one or concentrated metal powder is oxidized, and the hardness is lower than HRB50, it means that the oxidation is very serious, the sharpness of the obtained segment is good, but the service life is seriously insufficient. Too little metal powder, inaccurate weighing of materials, too fast heating rate during sintering, causing local overheating and running out of material, or using too old graphite molds, etc., will cause too low hardness. The size of the segment reflects the quality of the sintering process. After the addition amount is accurately calculated, under the correct sintering process conditions, the size of the segment is allowed to have a deviation of 0.1mm, otherwise， there will be problems. In general, the size is too large. The reason is that the powder is seriously oxidized. Under the specified temperature and pressure, it still cannot be overwhelmed. The temperature is not enough, the alloying is not formed, and it is useless under the application of pressure. Divide the actual weight of the segment by the actual volume of the segment to get the actual density of the segment. The inspection of density is very important, especially in the case of no durometer, the density reflects the performance of the segment.
